Create brand ambassadors for your business

Your display looks great, you have crafted your billboard message to capture the attention of potential customers, your staff have targets, but there’s one thing missing…

Today, visitors don’t just want to be entertained, the desire to participate and experience your product and/or service at your stand is on the rise.

Creating a journey where the customer is involved and has the ability to experience your product is a key tactic in creating brand ambassadors. Social media has created a platform for people to share memorable moments with their family, friends and followers as they happen. This in turn, creates an opportunity for you to create brand ambassadors. The greater experience you create for your customer, the more likely they are to post about it on social media; becoming a brand ambassador via the most effective and trusted from of marketing, ‘word of mouth’.

There is a popular saying marketers often reflect on when strategising how to increase brand popularity; people don’t trust brands, people trust people.

To create a great customer experience worthy of sharing on social media, take your customers on an engaging and interactive journey:

  1. Invite show goers to participate in an exercise which showcases the functionality or necessity of your latest product or service.
  2. Employ a host or choose a member of staff who is engaging and fun to perform this exercise.
  3. Ensure the exercise is educational and that the host directs the audience to access further educational resources via your online offering and encourages everyone to become a member of your online community.
  4. Reward each customer for participating by gifting them with either something they made during the exercise or a small sample of your product.
  5. Encourage participants to share their achievement or special gift on social media.
  6. Ask them to tag your brand and include brand and product specific hashtags.
  7. Like, comment or share their posts to show your appreciation for them sharing the experience online.
